Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (henceforth referred as “TMPVL”) is committed to protecting your privacy and security of your personal data. The protection of your privacy and personal data is an important concern to which we pay special attention in our business processes. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, in general, you can visit/ browse our website without providing your personal identification, where it is practical. Certain sections of the website may require your personal data in order to cater for your needs efficiently and to provide better information in relation to the products, services or information as may be requested by you on our website. By providing us with your personal data or the personal data pertaining to your relatives, friends or any other third parties, you give us your voluntary and unambiguous consent and also confirm and guarantee that you have received a similar voluntary and unambiguous consent from such of your relatives, friends or third parties for the processing of such personal data by us, as per the terms set out in this Privacy Policy.

Community Discussion Boards
Our website offers the ability for users to communicate with each other through online community discussion boards, blogs, or other mechanisms. b) Affiliates: Our parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures, group and associate companies. These entities may use this information for the purposes outlined above.
c) Dealers: Our authorized dealers which are independently owned and operated. They may use this information for their everyday business purposes, including marketing, customer service, fulfilment and related purposes.
d) Distributors: Our authorized distributors which are independently owned and operated. They may use this information for their everyday business purposes, including marketing, customer service, fulfilment and related purposes.
e) Our business partners: We occasionally collaborate with other organizations to deliver co-branded services, provide content, or to host events, conferences, and seminars. As part of these arrangements, you may be a customer of both TMPVL and our partners, and our partners and we may collect and share information about you. Whenever you request us the discontinuance of the provision of your personal data to such third-party service providers, we shall discontinue the same. When we provide your personal data to any third-party service providers or receive personal details from any third-party, we make a record of such provision or receipt. Further, when we receive personal details from any third-party, we shall check the circumstances of obtaining such personal details.
g) Third parties: We will share personal data when we believe it is required, such as:
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to requests from government agencies, including law enforcement and other public authorities, which may include such authorities outside your country of residence.
- In the event of a merger, sale, restructure, acquisition, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets, or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings)

h) Within Tata Group Companies : We may also share your personal data/information within Tata Group companies to make their products, services and /or applications available to you through various platforms (including Tata Consumer Platform), to assist them in reaching out to you in relation to their programs or campaigns and to process your queries and requests. We ensure that these affiliates and Tata Group companies who handle your information comply with the applicable laws and their own privacy policies. These entities and affiliates may market to you as a result of such sharing, unless you explicitly opt-out. We may also disclose or share your personal information to unaffiliated third parties to provide you services and products.
4. Where we store and process personal data
We take steps to ensure that the information we collect is processed according to this Privacy Policy and the requirements of applicable law wherever the data is located. TMPVL has networks, databases, servers, systems, support, and help desks located throughout our offices around the world. We collaborate with third parties such as cloud hosting services, suppliers, and technology support located around the world to serve the needs of our business, workforce, and customers. We take appropriate steps so that personal data is processed, secured, and transferred according to applicable law.
In some cases such as to provide the product or service you have requested, we may need to disclose or transfer your personal data within TMPVL or to third parties, if required. We respect your right to access and control your information, and we will respond to requests for information and, where applicable, will correct, amend, or delete your personal data/information.

- The right to access information : At any point you can contact us to request the information we hold on you as well as why we have that information, who has access to the information and where we obtained the information from. Once we have received your request we will respond within one month. There are no fees or charges for the first request but additional requests for the same data may be subject to an administrative fee. You do not have to provide a reason for requesting access, but you will need to provide some reasonable proof of your identity.
- The right to correct and update the information : If the data we hold on you is out of date, incomplete or incorrect, you can inform us and your data will be updated.
- The right to have your information erased : If you feel that we should no longer be using your data or that we are illegally using your data, you can request that we erase the data we hold. When we receive your request we will confirm whether the data has been deleted or the reason why it cannot be deleted (for example because we need it for our legitimate interests or regulatory purpose(s).

9. How long do we keep your personal data?
We retain personal data/information for as long as we reasonably require it for legal or business purposes. In determining data retention periods, TMPVL takes into consideration local laws, contractual obligations, and the expectations and requirements of our customers. When we no longer need personal information, we securely delete or destroy it.
